The University does not charge any extra fee for the study material as it is already included in the programme fee. The students receive their IGNOU BPP books within one month after their admission is confirmed.

The university does not provide the separate link for downloading the IGNOU Hall Ticket for its various programmes. The students can check their IGNOU BPP Admit Card on the University official website at following web path www.ignou.ac.in > Student Support >Results > Hall Ticket.

IGNOU BPP Admit Card Download

Usually, the university provides the IGNOU BPP hall ticket for downloading ten days before the commencement of the examination. Also, the hard copy of Hall ticket is sent to the student’s physical communication address as well.

In some case, if any student does not receive it via post, they can simply download the hall ticket / admit card from the university official website.

• Ignou hall ticket download

It should be noted that the students will not be allowed to appear for the examination if they do not possess the IGNOU BPP hall ticket.

In case, if any student is unable to download the hall ticket from the official website, then they must immediately contact their respective IGNOU Regional Centre.

Without the admit card or hall ticket, students may be allowed to appear in the examination, if their name appears in the list possessed by the examiner.The IGNOU BPP admit card consists of students name, enrollment number, Course Code with exam dates mentioned on it.

IGNOU BPP Grade Card –  The Indira Gandhi National Open University publishes the result twice in a year.i.e. in the months of August and February. After the declaration of result each time, the university updates the grade card of its students.

The students who appeared in June or December term end examination can check their course status in the grade card. The IGNOU BPP Grade Card consists of detailed information about the marks obtained by students in the Term-end Examination and Assignments.

The status of any course whether it has been completed by the student or not is also provided in the grade card as well.

After the IGNOU Bachelor’s Preparatory programme examination got over, it takes almost 45 days by the university to publish result and update IGNOU BPP Grade Card for both June or December examination.

The university sends the answer sheets of students to different study centres for checking. Sometimes, it may take little more time by university than 45 days to publish the results.

It is because of a large number of answer sheets which the university has to check by authorized university checkers. So, we advise all the students who are waiting for their result to be updated to remain patient.

IGNOU BPP Grade Card Status

Few students also apply for the early declaration of the result. For these students, the exam result is published soon after the exams are over.The complete result of all the previous or current semester BPP examination can be checked in the form of Ignou grade card.

It should be noted that the university does not provide the separate link for each programme and student to check their marks or grade card status. The students can check their grade card on the University official website at following web path www.ignou.ac.in > Student Support >Results > Grade Card. The students just need to select their programme code in the dropdown and enter their 9 digit enrolment number to check their IGNOU BPP Grade Card.

The programme has a minimum duration of six months. However, the university provides the relaxation to the students to complete it in a maximum duration of 2 years. The Ignou BPP Admission is a must for those students who do not have the formal qualification of 10+2 but they want to do graduation.

The admission in BPP is offered to those students only who have not passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination and attained the age of 18 years/as on 1st April and 1st October for January & July session respectively. But, they still want to get admission to degree programme such as BDP, B.A., B.Com, BSW, BTS, etc.

It is a non-formal way to pursue education to complete graduation degree certificate. However, this Bachelor’s Preparatory programme is not equivalent to 10+2 and has no credit weightage. It is only valid for admission to IGNOU’s non-formal stream of BA/ B.Com. / BSW / BTS, etc.

There are certain eligibility conditions and important things about Ignou BPP admission which the applicant must know before applying for admission. We have mentioned these details below:

• Eligibility: There is no such formal qualification required for the candidates seeking admission in Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme of Indira Gandhi National Open University.
• Course Duration: The student should pass or clear all the courses of this programme within the minimum duration of 6 months and maximum duration of 2 years.
• Programme Fee: The total fees for this programme is Rs. 1,200/- which students need to pay during the admission process.
• Note : Please confirm the latest fees for the programme as it may change during the course of time.
• Age Limit: There is no minimum and maximum age bar for this course.

Admission Procedure:

The Bachelor’s Preparatory programme is one of the most demanding courses among the students who have not passed 10+2 examination.The admission is provided by the university in both January and July session.

The admission related advertisement is published in the local dailies and on the official website of the university at www.ignou.ac.in in the months of April-May and Oct- Nov.

The university offers the ‘Round the Year Admission’ to this programme through its ‘walk-in Admission’ scheme.The candidates can download the Walk-in Admission form from the university website.

To apply for admission to this programme, the learners need to visit their nearest Ignou Regional Centre and obtain the prospectus from there.The admission forms and other required forms, enrollment card are provided in the prospectus itself.

The university also provides the option for learners to apply for admission through it online admission portal. So, the students can also fill up Online admission form while sitting at home. They just need to have the working computer and internet connection.

Admission Status:

After applying for admission, the students can check out their registration status on the university official website. It should be noted that the university may take 20-25 days in updating your registration details on the website. So, you should keep patience after applying for admission.

After checking the admission status, the student should immediately contact their concerned regional centre in case if any discrepancy found in the name, date of birth, etc. Also, the students will be able to check out their admission status by entering their nine digit enrollment number which is very much important to know for any student.
