The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to IGNOU Certificate in Entrepreneurship (CIE) programme in both January and July sessions. It comes under the School of Management Studies (SOMS).The University has invited applications from the learners all over the country to pursue their study in the field of Entrepreneurship.

Programme Objective:
The objective behind the introduction of Entrepreneurship Certificate programme is to impart the knowledge to the students and skills among the young people to find new business opportunities. It has been introduced with an aim to empower the unemployed youth from both urban and rural areas. This can be done by completing this programme and become the potential entrepreneurs. They do not have to rely on others for their living as they can do the business themselves and live a happy life.

- Medium of Instruction: English
- Admission Eligibility: The candidates seeking admission to this certificate course should be having basic qualification of 10+2.
- Fees: The total fees is Rs.1000/- (Note: Please confirm the latest fees from the regional centre as it may change during the course of time).
- Programme Duration: It should be completed in a minimum period of 6 months and maximum period of 2 years.
- Age Eligibility: There is no minimum and maximum age bar for this course.
IGNOU Certificate in Entrepreneurship Admission Procedure:
The advertisement for admission to Certificate in Entrepreneurship (Abeyance) (CIE) programme is published in the daily newspapers and on the official website of the university at www.ignou.ac.in in the months of April-May and October-November. The Candidates who want to take admission in this Certificate programme are required to visit the nearest IGNOU Regional Centre to get the prospectus and application form.The counselors in the regional centre will guide them about the complete admission process.
